OpenMentor is a nonprofit student mentorship platform designed to connect students ("Mentees") with peer mentors ("Mentors") to facilitate learning, sharing, and professional development. The platform exists to foster safe, respectful, and mutually beneficial relationships within the student community.

You must be a current student, recent graduate, or a verified mentor to register. By signing up, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years old
• You will provide accurate and truthful information
• You are not barred from using such services under any applicable laws

All users agree to:

• Engage respectfully and professionally
• Not harass, spam, or share inappropriate content
• Avoid any discriminatory, offensive, or illegal behavior
• Use OpenMentor solely for educational and mentoring purposes

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any user account that violates these standards.

OpenMentor:

• Does not guarantee the accuracy of advice or information shared
• Is not liable for the outcome of any mentorship interactions
• Is not responsible for external opportunities discussed between users

You agree to use your own discretion and judgment when acting on any mentorship advice.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and store your personal information.

• Your data is never sold to third parties without your permission
• Your resume and messages are stored securely
• You may request to delete your data at any time

All content on OpenMentor, excluding user-submitted content, is the property of OpenMentor or its contributors and protected under intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

We may update or change features of the platform at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to suspend or shut down the platform for maintenance or any other reason.

You may delete your profile or ban your email address at any time. We reserve the right to remove any user who violates these Terms, poses a risk to community safety, or misuses the platform.

OpenMentor is offered on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding uptime, mentorship effectiveness, or specific results. We reserve the right to change these terms at any time without any prior notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes shall be handled in Singapore courts.
